Our client for this project, a leading UK manufacturer of mobile machinery and equipment for the wastewater treatment industry, had a requirement for 4x 170 kVA standby rated diesel generator sets. They selected the Cummins C170D5 as their unit of choice due to both its high reliability and quick availability.
The gensets would be integrated into 4 of their machines as emergency backup power sources. As a result, the canopies were resprayed in various colours to match our client's machinery. Each unit was also upfitted with 3 external sockets and 2-way valves complete with external quick release fuel connections mounted on the outside of the canopies.
With all modifications complete to our client's specification, all 4 generators were delivered to their manufacturing facility where they were integrated by their team of engineers into their respective water treatment machines.
