Our client for this project, a specialist provider of power solutions for critical UK infrastructure, won a contract to supply a fully packaged emergency standby diesel generator system to a key data centre in London, UK.
After taking delivery of their 1650 kVA Mitsubishi generator, it was installed into its bespoke designed and manufactured acoustic enclosure, attenuated to a noise level of 80 dB(A) at 1m.
Due to footprint restrictions on site, the enclosure was engineered from the shell of a standard 40-foot ISO shipping container and features a remote radiator, which was positioned on the roof of the enclosure during the unit's installation on-site by our client.
ADE also manufactured and installed a 550 litre bespoke fuel day tank inside the acoustic housing, as well as fully mechanically and electrically fitting out the enclosure with dampers, small light and power, and other auxiliary equipment.
Prior to delivery to our client, the complete packaged solution was FAT'd in our yard to confirm its mechanical, electrical, and acoustic performance.
